Group 4. Participants: Siana, Candice, Donna, Isata
Group research topic was design and creation of the prototype of the tool for providing research or completing game. As a group we came up with the topic of plagiarism. We all agreed that we should create a game to help kids from 3rd grade to 8th grade level to understand the concept of plagiarism in a fun way. Each person’s individual assignment was, Siana: an in depth definition of what plagiarism is as well as creating the concept of using true or false questions in the game. Candice: research on how not to plagiarize and came up with the design of the game. Isata: Research on common plagiarism mistakes and came up with the answers to the game questions. Donna: research on consequences of plagiarism and came up with the questions for our game. Each member of our group was able to work with each other and bring forth their ideas. We were able to cohesively come to a consensus on agreeing to different issues within our topic. The strengths of this group was that we were able to understand everyone’s point of view and respect their ideas. On the other hand, our group could improve on our communication outside of the classroom in the open lab.
