    Hi everyone,

    Just found out about an interesting Wikipedia editing event focusing on NYC neighborhoods that I thought I’d share in case you wanted to pass it along to your students or go yourselves. Details are below. If anyone does go, I’d love to hear how it goes!

    “Wiki-Gangs of New York” is an editathon, Wikipedia meet-up and
    instructional workshop that will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012,
    at at the New York Public Library Main Branch.

    All Wikipedians, and NYC history and culture buffs are very welcome to
    join in, as is anyone else with an interest! No special wiki
    knowledge is required!

    Address: Stephen A. Schwarzman Building (NYPL Main Branch), Fifth
    Avenue at 42nd Street.
    Time: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

    The goal will be to improve as many Wikipedia articles related to the
    neighborhoods and history of New York City as possible :)
