    A reminder that I will collect Quiz #1 at the beginning of class today. If you missed class on Monday, note that I’ve uploaded the quiz here (http://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/groups/math1175-fall2013-ganguli/files/)

    Also, here is a hint regarding the question about finding the x-intercept of a line: recall that the x-intercept is where the graph crosses the x-axis, i.e., when y=0. So to find the x-intercept algebraically, plug in y=0 and solve for x
