Give two meanings for the word “statistics.”
Statistics is the study of collecting and analyzing data.
As we all know from the quiz in class, all of us should be able to write a book on this question. So don’t hold back. Let the floodgates open. In particular, I would like to know what statistics means to your major or career.
Francella is spot on and unfortunately professor, we all have things to do that make us opt out writing the book on this question… maybe if you and I can get to taking about splitting the profits then maybe I’ll give it a chance… ;D
But seriously, as a Hospitality Management major, statistics means constantly staying on top of trends and reading the latest studies showing what consumers are responding to the most in order to reap the most profits and keep customers engaged and vested in my future business. Knowledge is power.
