Course Description

The course provides an introduction to the field of quantum computing, which is the synergy of classical computing and quantum mechanics. The course provides possibilities that the quantum world offers in advancing the capabilities of computers. Topics covered in this course include Boolean algebra, classical logic gates, quantum mechanics, introduction to quantum algorithms, quantum teleportation, quantum entanglement, statistical quantum computation, physical realizations of logic quantum gates. Students need to use at least 3 different textbooks plus distributed lecture notes where all these topics are presented. Open Educational Resources will provide to students the cumulative compilation of above mentioned topics.
