By Thursday morning, I will post a few questions for you to respond to. Meanwhile, I have posted the syllabus in the place on the right called “Docs.”

If you email me, I can send you a clearer looking version, since once posted all my formatting changed.

In the meantime, I am asking each of you to use a nice face shot showing me what you look like. Since we will never meet and I am not planning to Zoom any time soon, your photo would be my way of seeing who is writing.

The way our class will work is on Thursdays I will send you things to think about and to write down. We meet “asynchronously,” which means we do not all get online at the same time. All you have to do is put in approximately 2.5 hours per week devoted to answering, questioning, simple writing tasks, some reading assignments, and an essay about every three weeks.

You will see a movie in connection to each essay, and I will send you the links to those full-length films.

I am attempting to replicate what we would have done in a real classroom. Since we are asynchronous, you will have 7 full days to do the week’s work. Sending me your answers and writing asignments once a week is how I will take attendance.

PS You may wish to download a free app called “grammarly”–https://www.grammarly.com/

It will catch typos and incorrect punctuation.
