Course Description

In this class, you’ll be introduced to the basic materials of construction and the fundamentals of hand drafting. We’ll also explore how building systems are analyzed and designed.

You will learn how to:
• Survey and record existing building conditions
• Develop plans, elevations, and sections
• Create basic construction details
• Study the properties and uses of common building materials

By the end of the course, you’ll have a strong foundation in both drawing skills and material knowledge that will support your future design work.
