Individual Strengths

I think it is very important to consider what our strengths and weaknesses are in order to succeed and live life to the fullest.

I work hard to accomplish goals and what is expected from me in any situation. I know that working on my organization and attention skills will eliminate procrastination and develop positive habits. After enrolling into five classes (16 credits) in both of my last two semesters, I have learned that planning ahead and anticipating assignments is the best way to manage my time and get work done.

Although I will be considered a new graduate, I know I would be an ideal candidate for an entry-level nursing position. I am in tune with my program’s mission statement which is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. I am currently certified in BLS and look forward to getting my ACLS, PALS, phlebotomy, and EKG interpretation certifications. I also understand how it is important to continue my education outside of the classroom, to keep my skills fresh and current. After completing the bachelors program, I will continue my education and strive for the best.

Currently I work at the New Student Center at City Tech, where I am an academic adviser in charge of enrolling thousands of freshmen and transfer students. The skills I have learned there can be applied in any nursing situation. In that fast paced environment I am organized and attentive to details. I am also a strong communicator with my senior advisers and coworkers. Part of my job is to be a people person as we deal with students on a regular basis. I am eager to apply my energy, enthusiasm, leadership and experience to any organization.

Thank you for your time!
