  this image shows very good DOF. the foreground is blurred, the mask is very clear and sharp and the background is blurred. Also the expression on the models face sells the image.

traditional lighting

    The three traditional lightings are backlight, front light, and side light. In this picture there is broad light and a side light and a background light.
