FROM THE FIELD

I have attended the exhibit The Society of Illustrators, a gallery providing various art work. The art work where all displayed across the room on two floors. Work designed in various different mediums such as: paint, drawings, web design and just a pure advertising campaign. Looking through the designs I have found three which to me were very interesting. First piece of work that I have chosen is called Bounce Cats <a by Jason Raish, and the work is an advertising design for the brand “Bounce”. Bounce is a febreeze fresh box filled with dryer sheets. The image that Mr. Raish designed is showing that the product is so strong that it can repel against pet hair. In 24" x 36" design, Mr. Raish shows this by drawing 2000 types of different of pets(between 3 posters of cats, dogs and rabbits) repelling against the very powerful product. The medium used was mixed media.
The next design I have chosen is called Dior Suite by Bil Donovan. It was designed as a mural for the renovation of St. Regis Christian Dior, designed to perfection with its elegance. Commissioned by the Starwood Group, Mr. Donovan created a advertisement with medium of brush and ink.In my opinion this is one of the best designs the strokes and colors done and used lightly to create perfection. href=”https://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/gloriannyguzmaneportfolio/files/2012/04/img-thing.jpg”><a href=
Lastly, I have chosen an art work by John Hendrix called Creative Calendar. I chose this piece it caught my attention as soon as I walked in the room with all it bright color design and not so clear message. I found this piece of the most interest. It being also an advertisement, created in pen and ink and digital. “https://openlab.citytech.cuny.edu/gloriannyguzmaneportfolio/files/2012/04/creative-calendar-for-blog.jpg”>
