To-Do After Class

PROJECT 1 – SMALL BUILDING: Complete Plan and Sections started in class; all drawings are to be the same scale: 1/4″=1′-0″.

  • Step 1: Use your measured Elevation drawings you did last week to create your Plan.
  • Follow the steps we did in class + complete your drawing.
    • Start with Front Elevation; be sure your Plan aligns with your elevation.
  • If you do not have completed Elevations from the prior assignment –
    • Draw your Elevations first: Use the sketches in the Download above, with the dimensions as written on the sketches.
  • Step 2: Draw 2 Sections – the cut along the long direction; and the cut along the short direction.
    • We did the cut along the short direction in class; the long view is less complex.
    • Use your Plan and Elevation information to create your sections.
    • Be sure your section includes all the architectural elements along the cut line. Refer to the drawings attached here.
