IS9010/ID Interdisciplinary Independent Study

Students enrolled in Gender & Sexuality Studies Minor who wish to pursue an independent study option should contact one of the faculty members with whom they want to work. The student should identify two faculty members from different departments (or from different disciplines within a multidisciplinary department) with their request to pursue an Independent Study option. In the semester preceding the one in which the independent study will take place, the student and faculty member will design a plan for the independent study project, the timeline, and the proposed format for presenting at the Emerging Scholars, Research Scholars, or other City Tech/CUNY research event during the semester. The proposal will be approved by the City Tech Interdisciplinary Committee and the student and faculty member(s) will be notified of approval by the end of the semester preceding the independent study.
