Please submit your work for consideration in this year’s AFR & GSS writing competition and showcase! Winning entries will receive a prize and be invited to share their work at the AFR & GSS writing showcase on April 23rd, 2026 from 2:30 to 4:30 PM. We are accepting any original work that centers issues of race, gender, sexuality, class and identity from 2025 or 2026 (more details on possible submissions at the link below).

Please make sure to include the student’s contact information (preferably a CUNY email) with submission. Please also include the name of the faculty mentor and/or class for which the submission was originally created.
