Throughout my internship, I was assigned weekly tasks from my supervisor. The tasks were connected to upcoming events the Unity for Equality were promoting. Those events included an Easter Celebration, World Health Day, Education for Equality, Funding Taxes, and Volunteering for Change. I was able to use my own creative skills to productively these social media posts and I was able to collaborate with a very impactful team.
Research Log
Ethics 1A & 1B
Ethics 1A
The design work I’ve been doing with my intership program includes documents and blogs that are copyrighted to the company that I’m working with.
I did not have the sign on disclosure agreement for any of the materials that I’m using. I do know that if I want to use any of these documents for anything that has to do with personal work that I would have to require. Dealing with corporations that are very, very tightened on their classified documents. Something that you do not mess around with, and you’ll be respectful to their product.
Ethics 1B
In my first few semesters of college, I referred to a few famous artists paintings to gain inspiration on how I should do my illustration projects. I credited these artists by going to links of where the original pieces came from, who did the research on your projects, and the year it was installed. If these things aren’t being applied to someone’s to work, then the consequences will be present in the end.
My opinion on the Fairey Copyright case is that Fairey didn’t properly source their images while creating a final product. You can only use images and logos for your likeness only if you’re given the permission to do so. Fairey ignore the first rule of design and copyrighting.
Culture of Workplace
This internship group allows a very respectful display of togetherness and inviting you and everything that they want you to do. Even though the work has been a little intense and complex, they make you feel wanted every step of the way. That’s what you want when you’re with an organization. People that care about you and want to see you succeed is always a great thing. This organization is one hundred percent virtual and that what makes their goats and impact even greater. Having gained this knowledge and understanding will definitely help me when the time comes for me to enter the real world once college comes to a close.
Obtaining an Internship

Since the beginning of March 2025, I’ve been paired up with the unity for quality internship program. My position with Unity of Equality has been to solve any and every communication and marketing issues along with completing the work they have assigned throughout the week. The process of getting this internship included asking my professor for job openings, applying, onboarding meetings, and weekly check-ins. all of these things would be included when applying for a normal job which helped me through the process in a positive way because I knew what was expected from me to get this internship and start working as soon as possible.
