Week 11: The New American Dustbowl

After viewing the Photographs, they are similar to the FSA photography such as the photographer Walker Evans  and Dorothea Lange because both of their photograph represents the poverty that has happened during the dustbowl. Many Americans do not live in California to know about the drought conditions that has impacted the farm or know that these fruits/crop products were harvested in California. Due to the cut of water of water in the central vally many farmers were failing to continue growing and producing their crops. This has affected the supplies towards our agricultural which leads to no supplies to harvest.

Breakfast

After reading the article rise and shine, i couldn’t believe what kids around the world have for breakfast. It is very fascinating because in america most people don’t have time to prepare such a nice breakfast due to work and school. I been told many times by my parents that never skip breakfast because it is very important and it keeps your day going. Most of the time i would always skip breakfast because sometimes i would get a stomachache since i am not use to eating in the morning. But when i do i would always get a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffee to start my day. Honestly american breakfast is only sugary depending on how you want it. Most people love to add tons of sugar into their coffee, a large amount of syrup to their waffles/pancakes or even eating a bowl of sugary cereal. But for me i like my breakfast simple and plain.

This delicious green tea mousse cake from Lady M is one of my favorite dessert. The texture of this is very soft and spongy looking. I took a couple of pictures of this mousse cake in different angle but this one was the best one. It has a good view of the cake in which you can identify/feel the texture. By looking at the mousse cake you can feel the fluffiness of the cake and also the sweetness of whipped cream.green tea mousse cake

Taking Pictures of Food

I love taking pictures in general but when it comes to taking pictures of food, I find it to be irritating. Every time i go out to eat with my family, friends or the people around me the first thing that they do when the food is served is they say “WAIT” takes out their phones or canon cameras. They take about three to five minutes or even longer trying to get a perfect picture from different varieties of angles and upload them onto Facebook or instagram like Is that really necessary? The best part of food is when the food is still fresh and hot. Within that time that most people waste in taking perfect pictures the food won’t taste as great when it gets cold. Hate to be mean but now a days i say no pictures when the food is served and if they want to take pictures it would be best if they just take  pictures of their own food so i can enjoy my food when it is still hot and fresh.
