The purpose of this assignment was to create a draft of an informative/goodwill letter from Avis Budget Group that addresses a customers complaint in a reasonable manner, while explaining the value of the new telephone system. Attached to this document was a problem evaluation report as well.
My problem with this assignment was finding balance in addressing the problem and apologizing without sounding weak, informing the customer of the value of our new system without overwhelming him with information and just coming across as genuine in my response. Once I reviewed the sample letters, I understood that I needed to be more apologetic and cut out all the unnecessary information and just provide what would be important to him as a customer.
