Journal 1:
A journal is an open space in which to practice your writing and to experiment. It is an intellectual space, though. And this means students must pay attention to basic rules of grammar, spelling, and structure. But, the most important emphasis is on ideas.
Grading: If you meet the word/page requirement, you will get full credit (usually 10 points). If your put extra effort into your ideas and writing, then you may receive more points.
For journal 1: Write a one page, typed, response to this question: Describe your best writing experience.
Due Date: September 8, at the beginning of class.
