How to Estimate

 

When planning a project you will need to create an estimate. Estimating is a critical part of project planning, involving a measurable estimate of project costs, resources and time span . One enigma in estimating, is that bidders sometimes make overly idealistic estimates in order to be awarded the job. The video below presents ideas about managing software development. Watch the video and bring your questions with you to class.

Use your new excel skills to do an estimate. This is the link to the estimate assignment.

When you finish the spread sheet turn it in as an excel file on black board; Estimating project 1 in the assignments tab.
