2. Students should gain knowledge in fundamental mechanical design principles.
3. Students should apply concurrent design and engineering principles and use the state-of-the-art CAD software packages.

Outline of activity: Lecture from Toyota 1) Introduction of Toyota’s activities, 2) What is the fascination of working automotive industry? 3) Manufacturing process of cars, 4) A big transition from an internal combustion engine system to a hybrid system, 5) Car sales history of North America and others.

09:50 – Students arrive at 250 Jay street.
10:00 – Depart from the campus and walk to the high street station
10:10 – Take a A/C train from the high street station
10:30 – Transit E train at the W4 station
10:45 – Get off E train at the Lexington Av/53st station and walk to Toyota office
11:00-12:00 – Lecture from Toyota technical/TMS staff
12:00-12:30 – Q&A
12:30-13:00 – LUNCH
13:00 – Depart from Toyota and walk to the Lexington Av/53st station
13:10 – Take E train at the Lexington Av/53st station
13:20 – Transit A/C train at the W4 station
