Blog Post 8 – Project 4 Social Media ” Printing & Services “

One project I worked on was creating three different social media concepts related to printing and the services Copycats offers to businesses. Out of the ideas I created, two were finalized. The project I want to focus on was an outdoor gala event-themed social media post.

For this design, I created a background that looked like an outdoor park setting. I used a light blue gradient sky with clouds and added a light blue silhouette of buildings in the background. At the bottom of the design, I created a green ground base to represent grass. I mainly used two of the company’s brand colors throughout the post to keep the design clean and professional.

The design also included different event elements such as three event tents with blue covers, banners, signs, and tables with sheet covers that displayed the company logo. To make the design feel more realistic, I added four silhouettes of people using different shades of blue. Each silhouette was placed in a different part of the scene to make it look like a real outdoor event. On the far left, one silhouette was sitting behind a table while using their phone. In the middle, two silhouettes were shown having a conversation with each other. On the far right, the last silhouette was standing behind another table. These details helped bring the event scene to life and made the design feel more interactive and professional.

At the top center of the post, I placed the company logo, and underneath it was space for the social media caption. This project helped me learn how businesses use design to advertise their services and connect with customers online. I also learned how important branding, color choices, and visual storytelling are in marketing.
