Blog Post 6 – Second Project Die-Cut ” Spring Basket “

One project I worked on was a spring-themed die-cut concept. My supervisor asked me to come up with an idea that related to spring, so I started by sketching different ideas on paper. After brainstorming, I came up with the idea of a picnic basket filled with spring flowers. The design included a main slogan related to spring, the company logo placed on the basket, and flower decorations around the design to make it feel more seasonal and creative.

I also created a flipped solid blue version of the design where customer information could be added on the back. For the information section, I focused on creating a strong hierarchy so the text would look organized and easy to read. This helped me learn how important layout and organization are in design projects.

Through projects like this, I learned that businesses in the printing industry pay close attention to details, creativity, and presentation because these things help attract customers and make products stand out. I also improved my design skills, learned how to develop ideas from sketches into final concepts, and gained more experience using Adobe Illustrator in a professional setting.
