HEAR MY HANDS CAMPAIGN
The design process for the “Hear My Hands” campaign focused on creating a brand identity that communicates accessibility, innovation, and emotional connection between the Deaf and hearing communities. The project began with defining the product’s purpose: gloves that convert sign language gestures into text-to-speech communication. From the beginning, the goal was to create a design system that visually represented inclusion, empowerment, and equal communication access.
The next stage involved developing a clear creative direction through taglines and conceptual messaging. Phrases such as “Let your hands speak!” and “Gestures into voices” were created to reinforce the idea of transforming physical movement into spoken communication. These taglines helped establish the emotional tone of the campaign while also guiding the visual identity.
A moodboard was then created to explore futuristic technology, human interaction, and communication-based imagery. During the color selection process, turquoise blue and soft violet were chosen because they symbolize trust, unity, innovation, and accessibility. The blue also connects directly to the international color associated with the Deaf community. Smooth gradients between these colors were used to create a softer and more modern appearance.
Typography exploration focused on balancing futuristic and human characteristics. The typeface “Sol Pro” was selected because of its clean geometric structure and mechanical aesthetic while still remaining approachable.
The logo development process involved experimenting with several concepts centered around hands, soundwaves, ears, and speech bubbles. The final logo combined a hand shape forming into a speech bubble with a soundwave in the center, visually representing sign language becoming spoken communication. The completed identity was then applied across brand assets including packaging, business cards, and social media content to create a consistent storytelling experience.
