EVENT POSTER CASE STUDY

I was assigned to design a poster based on an upcoming event. I decided to do a R&B party event hosted by RNBInTheCity. I love listening to R&B so doing this poster was a must. First, I decided to gather all my colors and typography and relate them to other subjects. I wanted my colors to resonate emotions being felt while listening to this music genre. I also decided to compare the colors with existing album covers. I wanted my type to have a graffiti touch to it, with graffiti being popular in NYC. I added photos of color, layout, and typography to visualize my inspiration. With my final poster, I made the brick wall all black to make the rest of the color vibrant. I added sorts of imagery to the poster including the DJ himself, and aspects that make New York..NEW YORK. I want to have a realistic feeling of the poster. I got a real-world mockup of a poster on a wall, and added my design to it. Now this RNB Experience design is coming to life.
