I got an internship as a digital design associate in the communications and marketing department in a non-profit organization. It is a New-York public based organization, founded in 2016. Its mission is to empower undeserved communities by advocating for social justice, educational opportunities, healthcare and senior support services. They work primarily with a diverse range of members of the community such as students, immigrants, and seniors. They provide them resources and opportunities for growth such as scholarships, financial counseling, or programs focused on healthcare access.

It is an organization with over 500 members from across the globe, and is partnered with different companies like NYC Health + Hospitals, Visa, MTA, and New York City College of Technology, to mention some. Over the years in their mission to help underserved communities, they have helped over 23,000 people in accessing health information, gave out $15,000 in scholarships to students struggling financially, and provided more than 940 people with English courses on speaking, writing, and reading. Some of its key elements in history are during the COVID-pandemic in 2020-2021 they supported the community by delivering groceries, hot meals, and personal hygiene products, as well as distributing face masks and hand sanitizers through their partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals. They also helped people get tested and aided them with the COVID vaccination appointments. Also, in 2022 their team in Bangladesh provided educational opportunities by giving out school supplies, tuition, and uniforms to children who didn’t have access to it.
