This article concludes with a brief description of the philosophy behind the physical education model as a substitute for the elite sports model, and gives an example of how sports can be retained in physical education in a way that emphasizes ideal education and moral results.

title: The constitution of the ‘able’ and ‘less able’ student in physical education in Norway
summary: Research literature shows that motor skills, health-related health, resilience, competitiveness, and effort usually play an important role in the evaluation process. Although Evans (2004) regretted the lack of research on sports “ability” nearly 15 years ago, new empirical research based on research on teaching practice rarely appeared. The existence depends on the teacher (and student) interview materials. However, few studies have investigated how teaching practice constitutes “capable” or “inferior” students. Therefore, our purpose is to investigate the composition of “capable” and “low-capable” students in the current physical education practice. However, under this superficial consensus, we have found that the composition of “ability” and “poor” students is causing negotiations and tensions between official education policies and teaching practices, as well as between teachers and students.
