Tarantulas are the largest spiders in the world. The way they are shown in the movies are false they are not dangerous to humans. Tarantulas spend there lives underground in burrows. Tarantulas wait by there entrance at night for insects and other animals. Tarantulas are most often seen during mating season because they leave there burrows looking for females. Males live up too 10-11 years old and then die after mating. But females live up too 25 years or more. They mate and lay eggs several times in there lives.
