Hello, my name is Elizabeth Colomara and I am a soon to be graduate of New York City College of Technology with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene .
I chose dental hygiene as a career because I am passionate about helping others and wanted to be part of a profession that focuses on health, education, and prevention. I’ve always believed that a healthy smile can make a huge difference in someone’s confidence and overall well-being. Dental hygiene allows me to work closely with my patients, educate them and see real time improvements in their oral health. I believe dental hygiene is a meaningful, respected profession that gives me the opportunity to make a difference every day.
During my clinical training I obtained hands on experience in patient care, periodontal therapy and oral health education. As well as; Radiographs, Fluoride treatments, Sealants, Local anesthesia administration, Prophylaxis, Periodontal therapy and Guided Biofilm Therapy.
