Step 2. Hold a meeting

Club president will likely  to set up a date (How often should the club meet?)and location for club meeting. Be sure that the club acquires space where they can have effective meetings. The date and location should be convenience for every club member to attend. A club member should be in charge for mapping out thing will do during the meeting.

The club should gathering  a group of people that have common interest to share ideas and to decide type of club. determine the club’s purpose and needs.  Also collecting people’s contact information, such as e-mails and contact number.

Club Guidelines for Starting a New Club at New York City College of Technology

1- To charter and gain recognition by the Office of Student Life a student group must exhibit a clear relationship with the educational mission of the NYCCT.

2- The student group must have a minimum of ten (10) currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students. Only members of the NYCCT community are eligible for participation in a student club at NYCCT.

3- Elect officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer). The President serves as the representative to Club Council. Club Officers must have a 2.0 GPA or better and must be in good standing with the College. No student may serve as an officer in more than one club, or hold more than one officer position within the club.

4- Club must have a faculty or staff advisor. Advisor must be faculty or full-time staff at the NYCCT. Advisor should be someone who is available to attend club meetings and programs, and be willing to support club development and initiatives.

5- Develop a constitution for the club
