Learning Self-Analysis

Graduating from Baccalaureate degree program was vitally important in that it has molded me to where I would like to take off and has forward in  shaping me as a nurse. The knowledge that I acquired throughout the BSN program added significant depth to the information and skills that I learned in wanting to become a Nursing Professor. This program the knowledge is broader and even more valuable to apply in everyday practice, it allowed me to become a leader in nursing. Currently I am in charge of the Emergency Room because of the knowledge that I have attained, it has allowed me to go further. The BSN program teaches the students to look at the problem from different aspects because positive patient outcomes are directly related to how well the clinical picture is addressed with the multidisciplinary teams. Research taught us how important it is with evidence based practice to having positive outcomes with patients care. Leadership and managerial skills are necessary with the administration of overseeing the other disciplinarians.

Graduating from Baccalaureate degree program, is only the first step that has lead me to the realization that I need to continue to further my education and continue to use my skills.  It made me appreciate why nurses go to school for years and are always reading on up-to-date material. This Baccalaureate degree has taught me to never stop looking for knowledge, appreciate and reflect always of myself as a nurse.
