The Diversity and Inclusion in the Curriculum and Education Subcommittee (DICE) centers the recognition of the intellectual value of diversity and inclusion. DICE’s role is to develop resources that encourage the incorporation of diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and in the college’s overall educational practices.
The following resources may be useful for faculty as they review existing courses or develop new courses to ensure that the course content and their pedagogy is inclusive of diverse perspectives.

Find Library and Academic Internet Resources
City Tech Library resources and searching the internet can help you identify diverse sources for your courses. You are welcome to contact the City Tech library subject specialist for your department or program with questions about finding resources in your discipline.
Recommended databases include:
- OneSearch on the library website (searches books, articles, and multimedia)
- Education databases like ERIC and Education Source
- Google Scholar
- Discipline-specific databases
Search using:
- terms for your discipline, for example, literature or physics, AND
- terms like inclusive, diversity, or anti-racist, AND
- terms like pedagogy, curriculum, or classroom environment.

Consult Your Academic and Professional Organizations
Many of us belong to academic or professional organizations in our disciplines or areas of expertise, and it’s worth consulting their websites, where you may find:
- interest groups or committees devoted to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- teaching resources for diversity, equity, and inclusion
- scholars from marginalized groups who may publish on topics relevant to your courses
