DISCOVER: Research and Analysis:
- Written Analysis: before you start your own illustration, Read this example analysis.
- Write your own short analysis of one of the articles and images shown.
- Analyze Design Elements and Design Principles.
- choose an article with image of interest due to Subject Matter Headline and Style of graphic Illustration
- RESEARCH: Google that article by exact name and NYT (New York Times )
- READ the article for main ideas, to help understand why the illustrator chose to represent those ideas in that illustration
- Take notes to post later
- How does image COMMUNICATE these ideas, be specific
- WRITE Analysis all visual elements and principles used- Can use List and Define outline as well as writing in sentences.
Define
- Use the same article or a different one to design your own Illustration:
- Adapt graphic style from some of the examples shown

- Choose what medium you want to use; Digital or Analog Drawing
- Color Palette, Style; go through Design Elements and Principles to see what can you best used to COMMUNICATE YOUR IDEA
- Review OTHER Graphic Examples in the prompts for Style concepts, or EXPAND on the style used.
