Reflection: For Project 4 the idea was to create a grid based composition meant to demonstrating an understanding of the range of saturation (pure, muted, desaturated) and chromatic value (light, mid tones, dark.) Some of the concepts I was supposed to use involved Hue, Saturation, Pure/Prismatic Color, Muted Color,Primary Colors, Secondary Colors etc. Part 2 of the project was to take an existing photo, pixelate it and then make a grid based on the photo using only red, blue and yellow. Lastly Part 3 Which consisted of the previous steps but with the added task of drawing and then painting a reference photo. Afterwards I had to make a more simplified version with less colors and shapes.

This project taught me to pay closer attention to colored pencil/ paint blending and layering, the importance of measuring out the grids as well as things like the horizon line which is the eye level of the person viewing. I was even able to replicate colors like black and turquoise using only the three available to me when beforehand i never would have thought to do that.
