KC Project #4

For the second part of project 4 I took a picture of my favorite side of my neighborhood and drew it using only cyan, yellow and magenta. Although I didn’t really enjoy that process it still helped me learn how to create colors with only 3 colors. I was told that we can use the image we took in order to digitize it, and I took that and ran with it. Im more of a digital artist so I knew this part will be my favorite. Using the pen tool I created a one point perspective and manipulated the anchor points in order to create more complex shapes like cars and windows that go off into a distance. Using grays, blues and reds, I used different saturations in order to have more color contrast and sense of perspective/shading. Later on I had to simplify my project which was a bit harder because I don’t really know how to be simple, But I trusted this process and with a bit of subtracting I managed make more abstract versions of my art piece while still keeping my sense of perspective.

Hi KC, looks interesting; good landscape/cityscape sequence.

Please add the colored pencil grid designs and saturation scales in paint using complementary pair of hues.
