KC Project #3

The color I chose was red. I wanted to go from a very saturated to a less saturated red going from top to bottom.

Hi KC, Good to see the post. The overall intensity of red with the duller areas and interesting flow of textures has a rich feel to it. There is gradation also. I would encourage the aspect of Emphasis in the project, using 2-3 focal points where you can select individual shapes from your texture photos, rather than just patches, to create that emphasis away from the textural field. Consider if your photos have specific notes of shape that could work.

I am a bit sorry I didn’t get to work with you more during this project; I would have consulted about these couple of aspects. But I hope you enjoyed melding the photos and creating tactile space.

Also, did you do the pencil texture grid? Please add and/or let me know if you have questions on that.

You also need two full paragraphs for the project Reflection Statement. So your mention of going from saturated to desaturated red in good, but really just a start.

from project sheet: Written Project Reflection: In the Deliver section of your post, document your thoughts about this project. First paragraph is a short description of the project in your own words. Use relevant design vocabulary from Project overview. Second paragraph is your thoughts and feelings about what you learned, enjoyed, what you could have done better (planning, material use, craft), and how you might apply what you learned to your next project.

I appreciate you adding to the post so I can grade the project.
