In this project I had to choose a song ad draw anything that came to mind while listening to the song. The song that I chose was “Beautiful Love” by Heffy. Once the song starts you can hear drums or a snare that eventually becomes a backdrop for the song, so my projects background is composed of circles that are unorganized to symbolize the rhythm and repetition of the drums/snare. I then used different shapes to give a concept of how many different aspects/sounds make up the song. When I started the project I was doubting my abilities a tad bit because this process was very new to me, but i ended up just trusting the process. After refining my sketches I felt a bit better about the project overall and began to move a bit quicker when it came to executing my work at a efficient rate. In the final moments of the project where I had to digitize my work I felt a lot more comfortable because I’ve done work similar to this when I was in high school. Overall, I enjoyed this project and the process.
