Over the course of a week, I have acquired a significant amount of information due to constant research pertaining to digital marketing, design, and development. In today’s job market, more is becoming expected due to technological advancement. As technology and the modern workplace continues to advance, so does the job market and the skills needed to secure employment.
The increase in automation and other digital services has significantly reduced and/or changed the jobs we previously had over the past couple of decades. As a creative professional, it is not only a personal responsibility of mine to stay updated on the latest technological tools and software, but rather, a must if one wants to find future employment in such a competitive job market.
During my internship at Pen America, I learned about additional software and tools such as Canva, Donor Perfect and Mail Chimp to help expand my technical skillset. This, in return, allows me to be more effective in my professional and educational work, remaining prepared when new technological challenges and obstacles arrive unexpectedly.
