You can make appointments up to 2 weeks in advance.

You can schedule a tutoring session up to 2 weeks in advance.

You can schedule 1 session/day and 2/week.

Appointments are 45 minutes long. If you are late, that amount of time will be deducted from the 45 minutes. (In other words, if your appointment is from 10:00-10:45 a.m. and you arrive at 10:10 a.m., your appointment will still end at 10:45 a.m.)

If you are running late: contact us so we can plan to wait and not mark you as a “no-show” after 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, you will be marked as a no-show.

You must cancel your appointments 5 hours prior to your scheduled time.

If you do not, you will be counted as a “no-show.”

If you have 2 late cancellations in a semester, your account will be suspended (you will not be able to schedule appointments) for 2 weeks.

If you miss 2 appointments:

  • your account will be suspended (you will not be able to schedule appointments) for 2 weeks
  • your existing appointments will be canceled

If you have 2 suspensions in a semester: Your account will be deactivated for the rest of the semester.

If you have 3 suspensions in an academic year: Your account will be deactivated for the rest of the academic year.

Contact us to discuss ways to have your privileges restored.

All student conduct regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook apply at the Writing Center. We expect student-tutor interactions to be mutually respectful and civil.
