This report argues that using a pre-encryption detection algorithm is the best way and valid solution to prevent crypto-ransomware. It also documents the history of this type of malicious program and how it is used to disrupt the activities of multiple organizations, including the government. Also how it is able to attack sophisticated systems without warning.
