QUIZ tomorrow! (Tu Feb 10) Bring court charts & maps!

Featured

Hello Students!

I hope you managed to stay warm over the weekend! Just a reminder, at the START of tomorrow’s class, you’ll take quiz #1! Please arrive on time so you don’t miss it. It may include anything we covered through the end of last Tuesday’s class (Feb 3, when we discussed the US court system). Please bring your maps and charts of the court systems to consult during the quiz — they are available on Brightspace, in “Content,” and here, in “Class notes & materials.” Please also bring something to write with, and your copy of the reading assigned for tomorrow’s class, which you got when you dropped off your library assignment on Thursday — also on BRS, in “Content,” and here on OL, in “Assignments”. And please read it before class!

Enjoy the rest of today, see you tomorrow!

Who I Am

Hello classmates, my name is Kassidy and I am a Law and Paralegal studies major. I graduated with an associates in communications form BMCC last year and although I really liked that major I always wanted to pursue Law so I thought what better time than now. A fun and random fact about me is that my favorite thing to do is dance, I have been doing it since I was 6 years old and it’s the one and only thing I will never get tired of.

I am very excited to get to know you guys as we move further along in the semester 😉

Meet in library today! (Th Feb 5)

Hello Students!

Who I Am

Heyyyyy everyone! My name is Aaron and I am very excited to be on this learning journey with everyone!

I chose to pursue the law because I want to make a difference within the legal community and by extension society overall. Something you should know about me is that I have two adorable “twin” cats and they are always making sure I am studying correctly lol (they love to sit on my lap and watch me work on assignments/ read).

Who I Am

The following is brought to you by Prof. Daniel Wagnon and his Philosophy class:

Who I am? Perhaps the question should be Who Am I? Who is Anthony? A human? A spiritual being? A sack of atoms? A (very flawed) creation of God? Am I really alive? Is my body part of my identity or is it just an exoskeleton for my brain? Is my brain my identity? What exactly determines a person’s identity?  Perhaps we shall never know~  Oh perhaps I……………………………..am Groot. They say you can be whatever you want to be~ Wait…………who are they???????? =D

I like punching, I like sleeping, I participate in class with the etiquette of a jackass, just willy nilly shouting out answers (sorry Prof Coughlin), I’m pressed for time and I think all this paralegal/legal stuff is fun. Ah, I also have RBF. I think that covers my stellar qualities, mhm.

Who I am

Hi everyone!

My name is Maria, I’m a paralegal and law studies student. When I was a kid I was interested in law and medicine. I’m currently working in healthcare, and even though I love it, I wanted to try dipping my toes in law. I’m very excited to be a part of this program!

Who am I?

I’m glad to be here with you all who also found your way to Professor Coughlin’s Law 1202 course. For me this profession means developing the competence to protect whatever and whomever requires it. I admire the field’s versatility and its ability to extend into diverse areas. If I could travel somewhere today, it would be to Mestia, Georgia (left), or Ushuaia, Argentina (right), as pictured below.

Who I am

Hi, I’m Belma. I decided to major in Law and Paralegal Studies because I am interested in the legal field but don’t fully want to be an attorney. I find criminal law interesting as well as international law. One thing you should know about me is I like being outside and trying new things.

Who I Am !!

Hi my name is Madison Nadia Dunbar! The major I decided to go with was Law and Paralegal Studies. The reason I went with that major was that I’m very interested in becoming a lawyer. Family Law has been one of the most important things that is close to me, because it steps in when emotions are high and things are falling apart. It creates structure when people can’t agree. It protects the child when adults are at war. It gives someone a legal way out of something harmful. i enjoy reading, babysitting and dancing on my free times.
