Timekeeping

Hi! I kept track of my time doing homework on Friday, October 3, 2025. 12:30pm – 5:00pm

Started to do my legal memorandum. I read the fact pattern, selected the important facts and began to draft the memo – 1.0

Read a chapter for my civil law and procedure class, took notes about what the chapter was about and defined words I was unfamiliar with – 1.0

Revised my resume and cover letter – 0.50

Read most of Hume on Personal Identity – 1.0

Gave myself a break after all of that homework to watch a movie – 1.0

My reaction: I was expected that this would be annoying to track what I’m doing. However, it was surprising to see the around of time I was taking to finish one homework. But I never realized how often I was getting distracted and how that impacted the time I spent on my homework.

Where do I want to Work?

  1. A) The name of the law firm is Romano Law and the address is One Battery Park Plaza, Battery Pl 7th Floor, New York, NY 10004
  2. B) Romano Law is a litigation law firm that focuses on business, employment, entertainment, media, and sports law. This law office is a midsize firm; they consist of 29 attorneys. Based on what I learned from their website, the firm is extremelypromising; they value opinions, collaboration, and a positive work environment. Romano Law interested me because they are a litigation firm, even though litigation could be stressful. There is always a positive side to a job, such as every case could require me to do “detective work,” and I will have the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships, especially because I will be interacting with the clients frequently.

Who I Am

Hi everyone!! My name is Vashi. The reason why I decided to major in Law and Paralegal Studies was due to me stumbling across the profession of a paralegal. This led me to deep dive into the career of a paralegal, and it helped me to realize that my previous major wasn’t the best fit for me. Something you should know about me is I enjoy learning about new information, which is ironic given how we will be learning a “new language” for this class.
