I’m posting this for Theodore because he’s having technical difficulties.  Feel free to reply, I’ll make sure he sees it!  — Prof. C.

My name is Theodore Bouzalas, I am in the Law and Paralegal program to earn a second degree and become more desirable in a dwindling job market. I also hope it will help me look appealing should I pursue law school. I have a plethora of interests from video games to movies to anime of all genres.

who i am

My name is Sherona, I have been out of school for a while after receiving my associates in liberal arts and general studies. yes that’s right , i received a liberal arts degree because when first entering college, i changed my major about 4 times because i couldn’t figure out what i wanted to do for a career. Also , while learning different electives , i became interested in different things. But one thing i knew was i wanted to do something that had something to do with the law. I tried law enforcement. I first did corrections officer and realized that was not for me, i did security for a while as well. I realized i didn’t want to be out in the field. I would rather be behind a desk ! i started doing my research on paralegal and i figured this would be perfect for me so here i am.

WHO I AM

Hi everyone my name is Amatul hahi and the reason  I chose this major is because I found criminal law very interesting and want to study more about it. I don’t really know what to talk about, to be honest, lol. I am a simple person as everyone trying to achieve my goals. I am really friendly and try my best to stay positive in every situation because self-motivation is a very important factor in our happiness. Having positive things to say to yourself can help you live happily. A negative dialogue can have a huge impact on our mental health and emotions so it is extremely important that we are not too hard on ourselves daily. It was nice meeting you all and I hope and pray that you guys achieve what you dreamed of.

Who I Am

Hi everyone my name is Yadira Cadmilema. In 2013 I went through an unforgettable moment. This particular moment marked my life forever because it was in that year that my parents officially received their green cards. Being able to see the enjoy and happiness in their faces was incredible. Then in there, I realized I wanted to become an immigration lawyer. I want to be able to help people and give them that same happiness in receiving their green cards just like my parents were. Which is why I choose  Law and Paralegal Studies as my major. However, I’m also a mommy to a 5-month-old baby boy. He means the world to me and gives me all the motivation and strength I need to succeed in my career path and in life.

Who I Am!

Hellooo My name is Fatou M. Gaye

As a young girl, I always knew what I wanted to do or say, but, I was scared to speak up in front of people. I deeply cared about other people’s opinions. In Senegal, being shy was a sign of respect towards adults. Children are taught to lower their stare when they look at an older person. When I came to the U.S.  I was reticent towards people. I was not used to the way they interacted. But as time went by, I realized that I would have to adapt, change, and mold myself. I was not exactly sure how to do that. But, I was sure that I needed to figure it out. I realized that I needed to share my ideas and show people who I was. I had to get out of my comfort zone. I needed to find my voice. Singing was something that helped me a lot. I push myself to perform on stage and also acting which really help plus I’m a big fan of Disney and musical shows…

I choose this major so that I can play a role in someone else’s life. Anything that can add value it doesn’t matter how, I always wanted to help and influence people. So I really hope for this to be the right path for me.

Who I Am

My name is Daziah Rowe. I have just started my 1st year as a freshman in college , and my major is in paralegal studies. Around my 10th grade year in high school I have taken a real big intrest in law. Being able to speak up for the ones who have gotten their voice taken is my main goal for my future career as a criminal lawyer. Where I take on cases in which plenty of individuals have faced many of the injustices within are current system is my main goal. I don’t know but i feel as if we need more individuals to speak up for what is happening around the world, to be a activist for the injustice not only in America but all over is one of my biggest goal. I feel as if everyone’s voice should be heard ,and hopefully i could be someone who helps people get their voice heard.

Another hobby in which I have is writing and sometimes painting. Writing is my way of escaping this world. I use it to express my trouble, concerns, and fears for my future, and the new generation. I guess this is my way of coping with things that I face within my own life but overall writing is probably something that I am 2nd most passionate in. Also I am not an amazing painter nor am I an artist but I feel like painting is something that helps relive the stress that I face. Also I love to sleep.

Who I Am

My name is Michelle Ramirez! I am a freshman in college. I wish to become a lawyer, which is why I chose to major in Law and Paralegal Studies. My plan is to be able to get a career in criminal justice law. Once i’m able to do that I would like to go back to school and be able to study civil rights law which is what i’m most passionate about. I’ve witness a lot of injustice happen right in front of me and it made me want to dedicate myself to being a voice to those who feel like they don’t have any. I’m really interested in working in activism. I had the luxury of interning with the New York Civil Liberties Union which helped me expand my knowledge as well as work with other activist and set up meeting with senators to help create a change. I also really love music! I was in my high schools symphony orchestra and I played Violin. I’ve been playing music for 5 years. I also play piano and clarinet! During quarantine i’ve picked up many hobbies such as embroidery and painting!

Who I Am

Hello, I’m Carmen Cajamarca
I’m in Law and Paralegal Studies program because it’s something I wanted to try out and see if it’s something I will like to pursue as a career. I don’t have much of a  plan for it right now because I want to see if it’s something I like. I did find it interesting because helping people is something I love to do even the less fortunate who don’t have much and are helpless in this world. That’s why I wanted to give it a try to see what I can do taking this course. Something I will like my classmates to know is I love animals all kind and I even volunteered in a shelter but I had to stop because of the pandemic. I want to advocate for there rights as well since a lot of them are helpless in this world and abuse.

Who I am

My name is Ninmah Andre.

The reason why I chose this major was because I was deeply interested in the justice system. It was my plan A, but after deep thought it became my plan B.

At the moment I have a really small art account on instagram (@nastyartzbyna, support if you’d like). I want to be able to sell my art and have a t-shirt shop, where I create my own designs. At the moment, I am focusing on improving my skills as an artist, before I start worrying about the business side of things.

Other than drawing, I am currently learning how to play the bass. And if I’m not doing that, I like to watch anime, do my makeup, or sleep.

Who I am

I am in the law and paralegal studies class because i want to become a family lawyer. My plan is to finish college with my bachelors degree and go to law school. I want to be a lawyer because id like to help those that needs someone to confide in and defend. Personally i just love to debate. And i have a strong feeling that law is for me.
