I think this piece is very informative and raises awareness about those that were killed due to police brutality to the media and people that are unaware of things like police brutality occurring right under their noses. I remember that when each person in the poster (starting with George Floyd) were killed, people were protesting and during each protest, they were chanting “Say Their Names”, which is where I believe that Kadir Nelson used his inspiration to use the chant as the name of this piece.
