I really like this photo because Berta, Jasneily and I were trying to make it look scary, or frightened but we ended up with it looking mysterious/sad. I love the way the red makes her skin look pinkish/red and super creepy/mysterious.

Just by not lighting her face, the photo defies expectations. I think it works for fearful. The tight cropping and the strong contrast of the bright red to the darker areas of the photo are both effective.
