The first magenta pigment in history was created in the mid 1800s by William Perkins who invented a dye called mauvein . It was soon later called magenta after region in Italy after that it started to appear in more art. Magenta also cannot be located on the spectrum because it does not exist on the visible spectrum.  Magenta does appear in nature of course, in flowers and double rainbows. But many also well say that magenta doesn’t exist and that our brain almost tricks us into seeing is a combination of blue and red.
