Associate programs are 2-year programs, generally requiring 60 credits to graduate.

Baccalaureate programs are 4-year programs, generally requiring 120 credits to graduate.

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech)* degrees have a more applied focus.

· They can require certain classes to be taken as part of a student’s general education

· They have a higher percentage of credits in the major than in general education.

*All students admitted to programs of upper-division study in The City University of New York are required to meet standards of proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics, demonstrated by passing CUNY skills assessment tests in these three areas to become eligible for baccalaureate-level courses.
