Simco Engineering is seeking Construction Inspectors (full time/ Part time), with passion for construction management, to perform construction inspection on various NY State roadway projects throughout Westchester County. They will be responsible for the following:
- Interpret contract documentation and NYSDOT specifications on construction projects
- Review and implement Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) in the Work Zone; ensure safe working environment for workers and traveling public is provided by the contractor
- Prepare daily reports including description of contractor work activities, labor(s) and equipment identification, and perform various measurements
- Maintain field notes and related documentation
- Monitor Concrete and Asphalt various tests
- Communicate with clients, contractors, supervisors, and other inspectors regarding specification and qualification test results and site progress
- Submit Inspector daily Reports
