Amir Akram is a musician and artist currently studying Communication Design student at New York City College of Technology, CUNY. He has spent his early childhood living near Atlantic City, New Jersey but has lived in Harlem since the age of 12-13. Prior to enrolling at City Tech, Amir was in a Fellowship at the art + educational space Recess Art. As a former tattoo artist and current vocalist in a punk band, he values a community where creativity is placed high and test the limits of a more DIY approach to design.
