My concept for this cover is diversity.
The Earth in the center symbolizes the students from around the world who attend City Tech.
I didn’t draw humans to represent diversity because the readers only know each student’s name, not their face. Instead, the paper airplane represents all students, and the book, controller, and robot characters represent various activities that students may have written about.
The other little drawings are the diverse majors that are in the school, and the subjects from students’ writings. For example, the tooth is for Dental Hygiene majors and the camera for Photography majors.
Lastly, the color choices are colors that represent technology. I chose green and yellow because it reminds me of the circuit board; blue/purple represents the computer screen. Finally, light red represents passion for the subjects that students love writing about.
