In Contemporary Designers and Luxury Markets, I explored the aesthetics and legacies of influential fashion designers from the 19th to the 21st centuries, focusing on how historic fashion influences contemporary and future apparel. Through lectures and studying museum clothing collections, I gained an in-depth understanding of fashion’s evolution and its enduring impact on modern design. My projects highlighted the interplay between historical trends and luxury markets, culminating in a final project where I curated a museum exhibition centered on the Renaissance. This exhibition celebrated the rich artistry of Renaissance fashion and its influence on modern luxury design. The course provided valuable insights into the connections between historical aesthetics and contemporary creativity, enhancing my ability to analyze and apply these principles in today’s fashion landscape. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the relationship between fashion history and the luxury market.
