Intermediate & Advanced Fashion

Students continue to work on their African inspired project. I walk around to observe students work and offer my help if they need it. One student needed help editing the hands on her sketches. As I helped her re-sketch, I taught her a technique that I learned when drawing hands on the female figure. I also went around checking to make sure students had seamlines where needed as requested by the classroom teacher. Whenever, a student raised their hand in need of assistance, I came around to help.  One student needed suggestions about using a Micron-pen to outline her sketches. I gave her some tips and recommended a fashion illustrator to follow on instagram who has excellent examples of using dark emphasis outlines.

Students begin creating Valentine’s Day cards for fundraiser. Each student is given a blank card to start from. Supplies provided for use in creating cards were buttons, variety of heart shaped foam cut outs, glue, markers, and V-day stickers.  There were some unfinished cards from the previous years that were put out if students wanted to add to them and get them completed instead of starting a blank one. I suggested to some students a couple of ways they can contribute to the unfinished ones.
